NCHS volleyball dumps visiting West Monroe in district match

The Natchitoches Central volleyball team defended its home court Tuesday night in district play, dispatching Parkway 3-1.

The Lady Chiefs (2-0 overall, 2-0 in district) rolled in the first set but faltered in the second one before recovering to defeat the Lady Panthers.

NCHS stays at home for another match on Thursday, with first serve at 5:30 against Parkway.

That will precede Thursday night’s home football game against Peabody at 7 in Turpin Stadium, with the Chiefs trying to go 2-0. The NCHS football squad smoked Woodlawn in Shreveport 34-0 last Friday night in the season opener.

Fans are encouraged to wear red, white and blue to the football game in tribute to the heroes of 9/11.
