SUPPLIES SENT TO SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA HURRICANE VICTIMS

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright, Natchitoches Parish Asst. OEP Director Mary Jones, and LA. GOSHEP Region 6 Coordinator Teresa Basco coordinated a shipment of water and meals ready to eat from Natchitoches to Southeast Louisiana Hurricane Ida relief efforts on Sept. 4, according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The water and meals ready to eat will be delivered to a distribution site in south Louisiana.

Sheriff Wright stated when Hurricane Laura struck our region last year, water, food and ice was delivered to our area. Now it’s time to show our gratitude and help our neighbors in south Louisiana that have been devastated from Hurricane Ida.
Many remain with electricity.

We also would like to thank many of the citizens of Natchitoches Parish that have transported food, water and fuel to south Louisiana in an effort to assist families impacted by Hurricane Ida.
