In lieu of this weekend’s events, Downtown Natchitoches will see road closures beginning today Thursday, October 7 beginning at 5:00pm for the Natchitoches Central High School Homecoming Pep Rally.
The riverbank will close to vehicular traffic at 6:00am on Friday, October 8th to allow for additional set up for this year’s Tapped-tober Event. The Riverbank will remain closed until the conclusion of the event Saturday evening. The Church Street Bridge will need to be closed to all traffic including pedestrians and motorists at 7:30pm on Saturday, October 9th. Williams Avenue from Whitfield to Henry Avenue will also need to be closed at 7:30 pm. Prior to the firework show which will be shot from the South end of the Riverbank. The Church Street Bridge and Williams Avenue will reopen once the Fire Marshall has given all clear message.
On Saturday, October 9th, Front Street from Church to St. Denis Street will be closed to vehicular traffic at 6am. St. Denis Street will remain open to vehicular traffic until the start of Sip & Stroll at 5pm. The remaining portions of Front Street from Touline to Lafayette will close at 5pm. The events will conclude at 10:30pm.
