Community Card Signing Events

It’s that time of year! The time when we think about all the wonderful things we have and are grateful for all we have been given. We begin to think about what we can do to give back to our community and search for ideas of what we can do to help others in need. How about helping to spread Christmas cheer and love with our local residents in Natchitoches nursing homes and rehabilitation centers? The Natchitoches Christmas Card Project is having two Community Card Signing Events at the Natchitoches Parish Library this year. The first is on November 6th and the second on December 18th. Both are from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Cards, supplies, and example messages for those not sure what to write will be provided. All they need is YOU and a few moments out of your day to sign one or more Christmas cards. All cards will be delivered by Natchitoches Christmas Card Project volunteers this December.

If you can’t make it to either of the Community Card Signing Events, don’t worry. You can still help by donating Christmas cards. (This is a great way to get rid of your leftover Christmas cards!) Cards, both blank and signed, are now being accepted at the Natchitoches Parish Library, located at 450 Second St., Natchitoches LA 71457. Look for the Natchitoches Christmas Card Project Donation Box located on the first floor near the information desk. Another way to help is by hosting or joining a Card Signing Party. And, of course, spread the word. Tell your friends, family, coworkers, and even strangers in the grocery store about the Natchitoches Christmas Card Project!
