What if you could Perform a Christmas Miracle?

Natchitoches Louisiana, our heart, home of one off the top ten Christmas Festivals in our great nation. How many happy memories we are blessed with. But some of our own right here in Natchitoches may only have tragedy to remember this year and this is where I ask you to join me in preforming a Christmas miracle for this family, these devastated children. Here is their story:

Tameka Helaire gave birth to a beautiful baby boy Karson 6 weeks ago in Natchitoches. Tameka was already a single mother of Robyn Burr (12 yrs. old) and Connor Burr (2yrs. old). Shortly after giving birth Tameka developed spinal meningitis. Her children were left in the care of their grandmother Martha Adkins who is almost 70 and her sister Karen Helaire who is a single mother of two teenaged daughters.

The Natchitoches hospital was heroic in Tamekas care and she was on the mend. She suddenly developed secondary symptoms and was transferred to a New Orleans hospital. We now know from the autopsy that Tameka unfortunately developed a blood clot that took her life.

Martha Adkins still works almost every day and Karen (my massage therapist from Hair Bar in Natchitoches) and dear friend works three jobs. She is also a sitter with the elderly and a clerk at local all in one gas station.

How can you help preform a Christmas miracle with me for this family? I’m praying for two things from you. First, if you can, send a $15 donation to Love fund #43614484 set up at Bank of Montgomery (BOM) in Natchitoches. The code for phone number/email is 3185276279. Or drop off girls clothing size 16 for Robyn age 12, boys clothing size 3 T for Connor and size 0/3 or larger for baby Karson (toys for Christmas are also welcome) to the Hair Bar owned by my daughter Lesha and son-in-law Carey Etheredge. The address for clothing or toy drop offs is Hair Bar 234 Keyser Ave. Natchitoches, LA 71457

In addition, PLEASE share this story on any social media site you can. Even if you have no means to financially help, your sharing this story may get it in the hands of someone who can. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Many blessings to you and yours this Christmas.
