An ordinance was introduced at the City Council meeting on Dec. 13 to rezone property at the corner of East Fifth and Keyser Avenue (vacant lot across East Fifth from City Bank) from B-1 Commercial to B-2 Special Exception to operate from 5 am – 12 am for retail development for a full sized Chick-fil-a restaurant. The goal would be to open in a year, so fourth quarter of 2022.

This ordinance will come back before the Council at its next meeting on Jan. 10.
