The Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches recently donated 30 coats and sweaters to the Natchitoches Parish School Board. Thank you to Bank of Montgomery, City Bank and Waskom Brown for being drop off locations. An additional thank you goes out to C & L Cleaners for dry cleaning these coats at a largely discounted price.
Kiwanis is currently accepting donations for their Arbor Day sustainability service project. Kiwanis is partnered with a local boy scout, Koda Deblieux, on his Eagle Scout project. Koda is a senior at Natchitoches Central and is collecting 500 lbs. of plastic items that he will send to a company called Trex. Trex will turn these items into a bench that Koda will then donate back to Natchitoches Central. Please see the attached photo for examples of what types of plastic he needs and where to drop off your donations. Koda and Kiwanis will be collecting donations until the end of May.
Kiwanis is an organization of volunteers that dedicates their time and efforts to serving kids and making their local communities better places to live. If you are interested in being a part of this effort, please email Kiwanisnatchitoches@gmail.com for more information. The club meets every Thursday at noon in the Legacy Room at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center.
