The village leadership is still working on finalizing a cell phone tower and securing internet services. Negotiations are slowly making progress. According to Mayor Smith, “we are far closer than we have ever been, so hold on!”

The Goldonna Baptist church said a tearful but joyful goodbye to their beloved Pastor, Jason Womack. He is now beginning a new season of his ministry at Beech Springs Baptist Church in Quitman, Louisiana. Pastor Womack and his family cherished their eleven years in the Goldonna community and will always be thankful for the friends and family made while watching over this flock. The Goldonna Baptist Church will have Mr. Ben Dupree filling in and bringing the word to the flock.

State testing will continue this week at Goldonna Elementary. Please keep the students and staff in your prayers as they finish strong. The school celebrated “Administrative Professionals Day” this past week. The school is very appreciative of Mrs. Amy Clark for all of her efforts in keeping the train on the tracks. Mrs. Clark has been the secretary for a few years now but received most of her skills from her mother, Becky Garner, who was the secretary prior to her.
