Firefighters respond to structure fire on Pauline Street

Natchitoches Parish Fire District No. 6 responded to a call for mutual aid from NFD from the scene of a working structure fire on Pauline Street on June 17 at 4:54 pm. With temperatures soaring into the upper 90’s, additional manpower allowed crews to rotate in and out of the structure ensuring the opportunity for life-preserving rehabilitation for firefighters.

Extreme temperatures, along with high humidity add the additional life safety risk of heat exhaustion, heat stroke and rapid dehydration for firefighters.

NRMC EMS was also on scene providing medical support for responders.

Engine 1 and Rescue 1 responded, along with 11 NPFD6 members.
