NPSO: Out-of-State fugitive warrant arrest

NPSO: DEPUTIES ASSIST US MARSHAL FUGITIVE TASK FORCE WITH OUT-OF-STATE FUGITIVE WARRANT ARREST

(Ajax)-A man wanted by Arizona authorities on felony narcotics charges was arrested near Ajax on Monday afternoon according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Earlier this week, the US Marshal’s Fugitive Apprehension Task Force Team contacted the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office requesting assistance serving an out-of-state felony drug warrants on a person identified as Terry Michael Gibson reportedly living on the Jim River Road near Ajax, La.

Deputies assigned to the NPSO Warrants/Transport Division briefed and traveled to Jim Rivers Road in efforts of executing the warrant.

Deputies arrived at the residence at approximately 3:30pm, approached and knocked on the door however it appeared no one was at home.

Minutes later, deputies observed a black Chevrolet pickup truck occupied by a female (driver), and male passenger pass by the residence.

Deputies believed the passenger to be Gibson from an image they had of him.

Deputies stopped the vehicle and confirmed the passenger to be Gibson.

Terry Michael Gibson, 79, of the 200 block of Jim River Road, Ajax was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with being an Out-of-State Fugitive on Failure to Appear on Possession of Dangerous Drug charges in Yavapai County, Prescott, Arizona.

Gibson is currently in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center awaiting extradition to Arizona.

Gibson a former resident of Kingman, Arizona was arrested by Arizona authorities on January 18, 2020 and failed to appear in court on October 28, 2021.
