Johnny Manning will be playing the Natchitoches Parish Journal College Football Pick ‘Em Contest for a second straight week, and he’s proof positive you should, too.
Manning – no relation to Archie, Peyton or Eli, by the way, but clearly a football expert in his own right — posted a Week 1 win, and Tuesday collected $250 for his perfect performance picking all 10 winners in the opening week of the contest.
But it took more than that to win. Manning was among four contestants who went a perfect 10-for-10.
So immediately, the contest tiebreaker came into play. Manning’s total points prediction for two of the games was closer to the mark than the other finalists, earning him the $250.
Now there’s another $250 prize on the line. Manning already has made his picks for Week 2.
You have until Friday afternoon at 4 to enter the second week’s contest. Anyone has the chance to win the $250 prize as the week’s top predictor of college football games of local interest, including NSU-Grambling and LSU-Southern.
Participation is very simple for anyone able to access this link:
The Pick ‘Em portal opens to a menu of game-by-game matchups, with an easy click to pick winning teams for each contest. Two games will be used as tiebreakers, with participants predicting the total points scored in those games.
It takes 20-30 seconds to sign up and not much longer than that to make your picks. You can finish faster than the time it takes you to read this story start to finish!
Entries are open now to predict this Saturday’s winning teams.
Every participant will receive a FREE Journal subscription if you’re not already signed up for the easily navigated, convenient 6:55 a.m. daily e-mail.
