The Natchitoches Parish Fair kicks into full gear after the weekend of rodeo performances and the horse show on Sunday. Exhibitors with Home Entries in the blue exhibit building on Monday, September 26, 2022, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Tuesday, September 27, 2022, is the Beebe Martin Memorial FFA Competition with woodworking teams from all over the state vying for top honors when they build a tiered wooden planter.
Wednesday, September 28, 2022, is the official opening day for the Natchitoches Parish Fair. The fair gate and the carnival open at 5:00 pm, admission to the fairgrounds is $5 per person, and children under 2 years of age are free. The fair board will have the opening ceremony at 6:00 pm, highlighting local talent cheerleaders and dance lines. Livestock exhibitors will have their animals on display Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
The livestock show will be Thursday evening at 5:00 pm. All are welcome to come and watch these exhibitors get their animals groomed and ready to present them to a judge.
Our Kids’ Days are back! And we are excited to host our parish preschoolers to 2nd graders on Thursday, September 29, and Friday, September 30 from 8:00 am to 12 noon. We have educational stations, animals, and exhibits in the Exhibit Building and of course, the kiddie rides Evans United Carnival opens for the youngsters to enjoy. The smiles on the children’s faces make it all worthwhile.
On Saturday, the fairground gate will open at 12 noon. Ride armbands for the carnival are $25 each day and are purchased at the carnival.
