First, it was Olivia Draguicevich. Then it was Gracie Armstrong. Now, it is Hallie Field’s turn.
For the third time this season, the Northwestern State women’s soccer team has earned the Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week, as Field’s performance this past weekend earned her the distinction.
Field, a senior from Frisco, Texas, earned the SLC Offensive Player of the Week honor following a weekend in which she scored a goal each in two victories.
Field, who has scored in three consecutive games, recorded the deciding goal in a 2-1 victory at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday and followed that up with a goal on a header early in the 2-1 win at UIW on Sunday.
The two victories secured the No. 2 seed in November’s SLC Tournament and an undefeated road record in league play.
Overall, she has four goals on the season, tied for third on the team. Her nine points are fifth on the squad.
NSU will honor seven seniors Friday evening, as it hosts Southeastern Louisiana in the final game of the season. The conference tournament begins Nov. 2 in Natchitoches.
