With members serving from the Vietnam to War in Iraq, the Krewe of Excellence lauded members of the organization that are veterans of the armed forces. “We are extremely honored to stand united in respect four you, our treasured veterans, krewe members.

“Thank you for the outstanding service you have given to this country and to the Krewe of Excellence,” said Ralph Wilson, the organization’s president at the krewe’s recent meeting.

Veterans, Charlie Davis (Marines), Brenda Smith Sowell (Army), Melvin Holmes (Army) and John Robertson (Navy) shared their military experiences with fellow krewe members. Damien Payne (Army) was not in attendance. A keepsake token (plaque) acknowledges the organization’s appreciation for each veteran.
