NCHS Lady Chiefs Soccer Continues to Build Momentum!

The NCHS Lady Chiefs Soccer team continued their season’s auspicious start with a 1-0 victory over the Leesville Wampus Cats in a scrimmage on Thursday, November 10.

The 26 young women of Chiefs’ soccer, with the boys’ team, the parish’s only high school soccer program, are continuing a solid tradition of athletic and academic excellence that stretches back over 20 years. Head coach Eden Rodriguez is a 2013 NCHS Alumna and former Chiefs soccer player who graduated from NSU in 2018. She teaches US History at her alma mater and has been at the helm of the Lady Chiefs for the past three years. Prior to that, she served as the assistant coach for 2 years. Assistant coach Ashley Fortenberry is a 2014 NCHS alumna and likewise a former Lady Chiefs soccer player. Coach Fortenberry is a 2018 NSU alumna who works for her university when she is not coaching.

The Lady Chiefs will have their first home game on Tuesday, November 15 against Grant Parish at 5:30.

Come on out and support these superb young women as they represent their school and our community. GO CHIEFS!!
