
The Natchitoches Police Department arrested Christina Simmons (B/F, 38 y.o.a. of Natchitoches) for improper supervision of a minor.
Natchitoches Police Department officers responded to the 100 block of Chinquapin Place on Nov. 4 in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon officers arrival they were able to locate the twelve year old juvenile suspect after a brief foot chase and place him under arrest. The juvenile was brought to the police department while officers attempted to make contact with his mother. After waiting for three hours, Christina Simmons, arrived at the police station and her son was released to her after being charged with simple burglary.
On Nov. 5, officers with the Natchitoches Police Department were dispatched to 304 Keyser Avenue (McDonald’s) in reference to a theft. Upon officers arrival they were told that an employee’s wallet had been stolen by several juveniles who ran from the restaurant. Officers located the juveniles walking down Keyser Avenue several hours later and they were transported to the police station. Officers again attempted to contact Christiana Simmons about her child being arrested. After all attempts failed to make contact with the juvenile’s mother; officers released the child to his grandmother after being charged with theft.
On Nov. 9, officers working the downtown riverbank saw two juveniles reaching into a storage room attempting to remove property. As officers approached the juveniles they fled on foot and one of the suspects was caught and arrested. Officers again brought the juvenile to the police station and attempted to contact Christiana Simmons. After all attempts failed again to contact the juvenile’s mother he was released to his grandmother and charged with simple burglary.
On Nov. 15, Christina Simmons was arrested for improper supervision of a minor and was placed in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.
