The Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is the only school in Louisiana to be named to Fortune Magazine’s 2023 list of World’s Best Boarding Schools. This prestigious award is presented by Fortune and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.
Fortune and Statista selected World’s Best Boarding Schools 2023 through an independent survey applied to a vast sample of more than 700 participants, and 2000 evaluations. The evaluation was based on recommendations collected from heads of boarding schools and heads of admissions of boarding schools, as well as boarding school advisors (agents/educational consultants), alumni, and parents of boarding school students. The leading boarding schools were presented with ratings of 4 and 5 stars.
“This honor is a result of years of hard work not only from our current administration, board, faculty, and staff, but also from those who paved the way so our amazing new residence hall could come to fruition,” said LSMSA Executive Director Dr. Steve Horton. “For forty years our LSMSA community has been well aware of what a gem the Louisiana School’s unique living/learning environment is, so we’re thrilled to have this opportunity to represent our state and our sister schools on an international level.”
LSMSA is a tuition-free, residential, public high school for high-achieving rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors with a nominal room and board fee to cover housing, meals, and campus activities. The LSMSA Foundation offers assistance for families in need.
