The NPJ confirmed there were reports of shots fired on March 6 around the Royal Street area. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and two of the juvenile occupants ran, but were caught. Officers recovered three guns, one of which was a stolen weapon.
Natchitoches Parish District Attorney Billy Joe Harrington said his office is aware of the incident and has met with law enforcement to work on the case.
Natchitoches Police Chief Nikeo Collins said that arrests were made thanks to the assistance of the community to help officers identify the parties involved in the incident. The investigation is ongoing and future arrests are expected.
