Kaleb Fletcher’s Northwestern State football career has one final bullet point attached to it.
A quarterback from Mesquite, Texas, Fletcher was named to the 2022 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society on Wednesday.
Earlier this season, Fletcher was named a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, which honors football student-athletes for their academic, athletic and community service successes.
Fletcher’s inclusion in the NFF’s Hampshire Honor Society made him one of 1,734 players selected, a record for the group, which is in its 17th season.
Fletcher earned his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering technology in May 2022, graduating with a 3.3 grade point average. He also earned a certificate in project management and pursued another in quality control during the 2022 season.
A four-time member of the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Fletcher started 12 games in his NSU career, throwing for 2,201 yards and 14 touchdowns while adding 509 rushing yards and four touchdowns. He was an active member of NSU’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter and worked with the Helping Hands volunteer organization.
