Senior Night was nearly perfect Wednesday evening for Natchitoches Central’s softball team.
Senior Maddie Robinson threw a no-hitter and homered twice to lead the Lady Chiefs past Logansport 12-0.
Robinson went 4-for-4 at the plate. She homered in the first, singled in the second, homered in the fourth, and singled in the fourth. In the circle, she struck out 12 and walked one in the five-inning victory.
Natchitoches Central scored nine times in the fourth inning. The outburst was led by singles by Robinson, Desi Robinson, and Sydney Terrell, home runs by Maddie Robinson and Ehren Guidroz, and an error on a ball put in play by Breanna Hale.
Logansport dropped to 20-7 overall after the non-district game.
The Lady Chiefs wrapped up the regular season with a 29-5 overall record and the District 1-5A championship. The state playoff brackets will be announced today on LHSAA.org.
