Natchitoches’ FUMC hosted its 2023 Vacation Bible School June 5-9. Eighty-One young men and women had a “Stellar” experience as they learned and enjoyed games and activities based on the school’s “Stellar”, space-based theme. The youngsters also learned about places in the community such as the Cane River Food Pantry, Rolling Hills Ministry and Operation Christmas Child that help others.
In a special treat, the children heard from Lieutenant Russ Stultz from California’s Vandenberg Air Force Base. Lt. Stultz is an officer in the U.S. Space Force who grew up in Natchitoches. He greeted the children by video and showed them an actual rocket launch from the base.
