
Shortly after the US National Weather Service Shreveport Office issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch and Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Natchitoches Parish on June 10 around 4 pm, a line of severe thunderstorms with high wind, heavy rain and some hail began passing through. This storm system downed trees and power lines throughout the parish, causing power outages and hazardous traveling conditions.
NPSO Deputies, Town Marshals and Parish-wide Volunteer Fire Districts began responding to areas to assist. SWEPCO reported around 4,786 power outages.
