The Natchitoches Parish Council held its monthly meeting on June 19. The following items were introduced/passed:

Introduce Ordinance 011-2023 for a 2023 budget amendment for the Fund 915 Opioid Settlement
Fund.

Introduce Ordinance 012-2023 to affect a zoning variance of a 3.0-acre tract of land (parcel # 8010003500A) to approve a new construction church in an Industrial-Agricultural (I-A) district. The property is in Section 4, Township 9 North, and Range 7 West with a physical address of 2047 Highway 6, Natchitoches, LA 71457, as shown on the Survey attached hereto, approved by the Parish Planning Commission on June 5, 2023.

Move Precinct 4-3 (St. Augustine Catholic Church) to the Police Jury Voting Building in Cypress located at 11345 LA Hwy 1 for the October 14, 2023 and November 18, 2023 elections.

Adopt levying increase millage rate or rates after reassessment and rolling forward not exceeding the maximum authorized by law.

Adopt Rolling forward all millages except Library and adopt the levying increase millage rate.

Sign the Cooperative Forest Road Agreement between the Parish of Natchitoches and the USDA, Forest Service Kisatchie National Forest.
