Deputies say a 2001 Ford Ranger operated by a 54-year-old Leesville man was traveling southbound on Hwy. 117 north of Kisatchie when for reasons still under investigation exited the road on the right side.
The vehicle then traveled through a ditch striking a culvert overturning coming to a rest on it’s top.
First Responders were able to free the man from the wreckage.
The patient was transported from the scene by EMS to the landing zone and airlifted to a regional trauma center for treatment of injuries.
