Due to ongoing road construction on the Hwy. 1 Bypass all Natchitoches Central High School staff, parents, and students will have to take the southbound DOTD advised detours when traveling to campus for the first few weeks of school.
All four lanes both northbound and southbound from the Hwy. 6 and Bypass intersection up to the technical college will be open by late August and maintained for school traffic only.
The Natchitoches Parish School Board would like to apologize for any inconvenience this construction may cause. NPSB officials are in conferences with DOTD weekly and are working diligently to make commuting to and from campus as smooth as possible for the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year.
