Natchitoches Police Department officers were made aware of a complaint of cruelty to juveniles on Aug. 4 around 1:37 am in the 1300 block of Lake Street.  Officers were told prior to their arrival that a juvenile had been struck with a pipe and was forcibly removed from the home.

Officers went to the residence and located Sade Calhoun (B/F, 30 y.o.a. of Natchitoches) and Brandon Ware (B/M, 32 y.o.a. of Natchitoches).

Sade Calhoun and Brandon Ware are charged with Cruelty to Juveniles, Domestic Abuse Battery, Aggravated Battery and Improper Supervision of Juveniles.  Sade Calhoun and Brandon Ware were placed in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.

The Department of Children and Family Services were notified and the four children were placed in their care.
