Welcome to NSU and Natchitoches! NSU Move-In Day

Northwestern State University was a scene of well-practiced efficiency as the newest members of the Demon family moved into their new dorms on NSU’s move-in day Saturday, August 12. Combined with the students who moved in on the first two move-in days, band members and athletes, there are about 1,400 students living on campus with more arriving soon. NSU is on track to completely fill the 1,492 dorm spaces on campus. The new Demons were welcomed to campus by a large group of student volunteers. Athletes from every sport at the university joined with Greek organizations, Presidential Leadership Program students and other volunteers assisted with unloading vehicles and moving items. In addition to helping the students settle in, the volunteers also went a long way to making the freshmen feel at home in their new university-and its community. In addition to members helping with move in, Natchitoches’ River Community Church brought a sno cone machine, a most welcome relief from the summer heat!

Welcome to the NSU’s incoming freshman class and wish them all the best in their studies. We look forward to seeing your talents displayed on the field, on the stage and in all the many different ways that your presence makes our community a better place to live.

Welcome to Natchitoches!
