The City of Natchitoches advises the public that a construction project on the St. Denis Condos has begun on Lafayette Street. 

Due to the scope of the project, Lafayette Street from Front Street to Rue Ducournau will close to vehicular traffic beginning, Thursday, Aug. 17. Access to all parking lots for residents and businesses on Lafayette Street will remain open. Pedestrian traffic may access barricaded walkways around the construction site. 

Several phases of construction will take place during the project. Currently, Lafayette Street is expected to remain closed for the next 4-6 weeks. We will update the public as the timeline advances. 

The public is encouraged to drive with caution near the construction site and to use alternate routes when possible. The City of Natchitoches appreciates the public’s patience during this construction project.
