State petition to remove Jackson Jones, Jr

Jackson Jones, Jr.

The State of Louisiana, on behalf of The Louisiana Board of Ethics, has filed a petition objecting to the candidacy of Jackson Jones, Jr. for Sheriff, Natchitoches Parish.

The Louisiana Board of Ethics shows that Mr. Jones owes imposed fines totaling $4,620.00 to the Louisiana Board of Ethics as of August 10, 2023 at 2:05 p.m. and was still outstanding at the time the petition for removal was filed.

The petition states that Mr. Jones falsely certified on his notice of candidacy that he does not owe any outstanding fines, fees or penalties pursuant to the Campaign Finance Disclosure Act as provided in R.S. 18:463(A)(2).

La.
