Cadet Jamar Benjamin, a 2023 NCHS alumni, is a freshman cadet in the NSU Army ROTC Demon Battalion, majoring in criminal justice. He is a recipient of a Wise Family Foundation Scholarship which was presented to him at the 74th Demon Battalion activation ceremony on Thursday, August 24. He was joined by fellow cadets Megan Franchino of Santa Rita, Guam, an Industrial Engineering Technology major, and nursing major Molly Stelly of Lafayette, in earning the scholarships.
The Wise Family Foundation Scholarships, established by the family of the late Major General (Retired) Erbon W. Wise of Sulphur, are intended to assist NSU Army ROTC cadets with their educational expenses while they are awaiting scholarships or contracting.
