Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District #1, Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry and RoyOMartin Plywood with a dozer responded to the scene of a wildfire on Sug. 27 around 6:45 pm on the Bay Springs Road, off of Hwy. 490 in Chopin.

 

A dozer was required to reach the fire because of the dense wooded area. It was confirmed at 8:55 pm that the 20 acre fire was contained.
