Natchitoches Crime Stoppers representatives came before the Natchitoches City Council at its Aug. 28 meeting to present its Year-to-Date Report. Crime Stoppers began in June of 2021 and Mayor Ronnie Williams Jr. said he thinks people are coming around to the idea of reporting suspicious activity.

From June of last year, to today 135 tips have come in to Crime Stoppers, resulting in nine arrests, two of which were for two separate homicides in the City of Natchitoches. For the tips that lead to an arrest, a total of $10,100 was paid out for the year.
