The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred early Monday morning on North Street.
Natchitoches Police Department officers received several phone calls on Sept. 11 around 12:37 am in reference to gunshots in the area of Howell Street near the Natchitoches Thomas Apartments. Upon officers arrival they located a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center and later to a hospital in Shreveport for further treatment.
This investigation is ongoing and the Natchitoches Police Department will release more details as they become available.
