Village of Goldonna to hold inaugural Pumpkin Walk

Fresh off the spooky press…. Mayor Gayle Could announces the Village of Goldonna will hold its First Annual Pumpkins in the Park on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 5-7 pm. Bring your decorated pumpkins to the town hall between 3:30-5 pm on the 28th to be displayed along the walking track. 

They can be carved, painted, taped, or glued….use your imagination! Everyone is invited to take the spooky walk and enjoy the local talent. You will be able to vote for your favorites. Categories will include age 7 and under, 8-12 years old, 13-18 years old and 19 and above. 

Goldonna Elementary Junior High will hold its Fall Carnival at the school on Friday, Oct. 27 from 6-9 pm. The Goldonna Wildcats will also celebrate Red Ribbon Week Oct. 23-27.

Monday – Wear Pink

Tuesday – Camo Day

Wednesday – Wear Red

Thursday – Team Up Against Drugs (wear your favorite sports jersey)

Friday – Drugs are a Trick not a Treat (wear a non-scary Halloween costume)

Goldonna Baptist Church will be hosting a Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 28th from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. They will have food, games, candy and great fellowship.  Kingdom Kids will having a pancake and sausage supper on Wednesday, October 18th at 6:00pm. 

A community-wide Trick or Treat event will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 31. There will also be Trunk or Treat, bonfire and hotdogs at the store. Stay safe and only visit houses that have a light on or appear to be accepting visitors.

Goldonna Assembly of God will hold a donation drive for the Minden Family Center during the month of October. Some of the items being sought are: shampoo, body wash, shaving cream, toothpaste/brushes, mouthwash, dental floss, deodorant, diapers, wipes, pull-ups, baby wash and lotion.
