Young at Heart hold November luncheon

The monthly Young at Heart luncheon for seniors was held on Nov. 1 at First United Methodist Church.

The Back Porch Band entertained the gathering with a selection of gospel and traditional favorites, and David Clark displayed photographs from his “Feathers and Friends” wildlife collection.  Thanksgiving decorations were provided by the Koinonia Circle.

November birthdays were celebrated by Wilma Wingo and Libby Kirkland.

Sporting his bowler hat, Harvey Polk served as Master of Ceremonies.  Pastor Gary Willis offered a prayer before the meal.

Young at Heart meets the first Wednesday of each month at 11 AM in Bostick Hall at the church.  The meeting is non-denominational, and all seniors are welcome.  Attendees are asked to pay a $5 fee or to bring a covered dish to share.  The next meeting is scheduled for December 6.
