LHSAA State Cross Country Championship set for Monday

High schools from across the state converge to compete in the Ochsner Health LHSAA State Championship hosted by Northwestern State today, Nov. 13. 

The first race begins at 9 a.m. with the Division IV girls race, and the boys Division IV race will take place starting at 11:15. 

A total of 335 schools are registered to compete in the meet, with 64 from Division I, 68 from division II and III, 71 from Division IV and 64 from Division V. 

The three-mile course begins outside the NSU track complex and will conclude inside the Walter P. Ledet Track Complex. 

Packet pick-up begins at 6:30 a.m. The LHSAA tent will be on the practice football fields across the street from the entrance to the track. There will be a five-minutes warning before each race, which will signal line up time. 

Tickets cost $12 cash and $14 if paying with a card, as the ticket cost $12 plus a $2 processing fee, with the gates opening at 8 a.m.
