Natchitoches’ St. Denis St. became the stuff of childhood magic Sunday, November 12 as the NSU Student Theater Organization presented “Storytime on St. Denis”. Members of the university’s Student Theater Organization played games and drew sidewalk art with the children. The highlight of the event, however, was an informal concert put on by a superbly talented group of Musical Theater students who sang pieces from Disney movies, Dr. Suess, and musicals. One student sang “Let it Go” from the animated movie “Frozen” and invited children in the audience to come up and join her.
“Storytime on St. Denis” was a resounding success. The program provided delightful family fun at no cost to those attending. The young men and women of NSU’s Student Theater Organization are quite talented and it is a joy to watch them perform.
NSU’s Theater Department brings top-quality productions to our community at a modest cost. NSU Theateris one of the many ways NSU makes our community a better place to live.
