
The Goldonna Christmas in the Park Committee proudly announces the Honorable David Stamey, Natchitoches Parish Clerk of Court will serve as the Grand Marshall of the 2023 festival parade. Stamey has served as Natchitoches Parish Clerk of Court since July 1, 2016. Prior to then he was Broker-Owner of Collins and Stamey Real Estate for over 30 years.
He has been married to his wife Brenda for over 40 years. They have two sons and two “perfect” grandchildren that live in Bloomington Indiana.
David has long had a connection with the Goldonna area. He worked at the Placid Oil-Black Lake Field in the early 1980s where among his duties was to assist current Mayor Cloud’s late husband, Charles. David carried pipe and Mr. Cloud welded it!
David loves serving as Clerk of Court and is proud of his 15 Deputy Clerks who do an incredible job serving Natchitoches Parish from filing civil, criminal, conveyance, mortgage, oil and gas records to helping conduct elections.
The parade, with Mr. Stamey in tow, will kick off a littler earlier this year with a start time of 4:30. Be sure to visit the Christmas in the Park, Goldonna, LA Facebook page for up to date parade routes. The fireworks show will begin at 7:00pm.
The 2nd Annual Gingerbread House Contest will be held in conjunction with the Christmas in the Park. All ages are invited and encouraged to participate. Age 3 and under will be decorated cookies instead of gingerbread houses. All can be turned in at The Store beginning Monday December 4th through Friday December 8th. Entries can be turned in at the Town Hall until 10:00am on Saturday December 9th.
Santa Claus will be at the Town Hall on Friday, December 8th from 5-7pm for those who cannot make it on Saturday. Split the Pot tickets will be available as well as other raffle tickets and door prizes. Live music will begin at 11:00am.
