Saturday night at the Natchitoches Jazz & R&B Festival was full of pleasant surprises. One of the nicest ones was the induction of Natchitoches’ very own Trini Triggs into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame after the conclusion of the Johnny Earthquake and the Moondogs’ set.
The induction was a closely held secret until Johnny Earthquake called Mike Shepherd of the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame onstage to present Trini with his induction certificate. The occasion was quite possibly the first time in local music history that Trini Triggs has been speechless. Trini Triggs has released two albums and has had four singles in the Billboard Hot Country Songs top 100 chart. In addition, he is an iconic presence on the local music scene.
The Natchitoches Parish Journal congratulates Trini Triggs for achieving this well deserved milestone. Well done sir!
