Six juveniles arrested following reports of break-ins

Six juveniles are in custody after Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies received reports of a possible break-in just south of Natchitoches according to Sheriff Stuart Wright.

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies responded to NATCOM 911 Center reports on May 31 around 7 am of what appeared to be juveniles entering uninhabited mobile homes in the Independence Drive area south of Natchitoches.

Two Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the initial call. Deputies say when they arrived in the area, several juveniles began to flee the area. Other deputies responded to assist.

Deputies began a foot pursuit capturing 1-suspect, a juvenile, a short while later. Other deputies canvassed the area, taking other juvenile suspects into custody.

As a result, 6 juveniles, ranging in the ages of 15-16 were transported to the NPSO Criminal Investigations Bureau for processing. There were no injuries. This is an active and ongoing investigation.

Sheriff Wright, said these arrests were the result of a concerned resident in the area, observing suspicious activity, and reporting it to the Sheriff’s Office. If you observe suspicious activity in your community, say something, contact your local law enforcement agency for assistance.
