An anonymous source informed the NPJ that money has been taken from the monies handled by the Natchitoches Police Department’s Records Division during the normal course of day-to-day business. When the NPJ reached out to confirm, the only answer we received was to say that with an investigation of this kind, as with officer involved shootings, information isn’t released to the public, as per policies/procedures, until an investigation has come to an end. No further information is available at this time.
