A home owner in the Historic District, near Poet Street, informed the NPJ that a report was made to the Natchitoches Police Department in reference to a break in at their residence on July 13 around 3:55 pm. According to the NPD, the suspect fled on foot before officers arrived.

The home owner asked to remain anonymous, but that the information about the break in needed to be posted to help catch the thief and to warn others. The NPJ is working to obtain more information about this incident.
