Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office (NPSO) Patrol, Criminal Investigation Bureau, and Drug Enforcement Unit recently conducted a successful IMPACT detail. During this operation, six individuals were arrested, and deputies provided assistance on numerous calls throughout the area according to Sheriff Stuart Wright.

 

Notably, deputies apprehended Aniya Davis on Oct. 13 at approximately 12:15 AM. IMPACT units were actively searching for a black Hyundai Sonata, identified as the suspect vehicle in a recent shooting in the 800 block of Clarence Drive. Deputies observed a vehicle matching that description and conducted an investigatory stop on Airport Road near Rapides Drive. Upon making contact with the driver, Aniya Davis, she was detained for further investigation.

 

While awaiting additional details from the Natchitoches Police Department regarding the shooting, Davis attempted to flee while in handcuffs but was quickly apprehended. A subsequent search revealed a Glock 9mm handgun with an extended magazine concealed in her waistband. Davis was transported to the NPD for questioning related to the shooting.
