A Seminar on Fraud Awareness and On-Line Safety

Crimestoppers and the LA Attorney General’s Office Presented a Seminar on Fraud Awareness and On-Line Safety.

Ms. Laura Seabaugh, the North Louisiana Outreach Manager for the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, and Dr. Carmella Parker of Natchitoches’ chapter of Crimestoppers hosted a seminar on fraud awareness and on-line safety for children, teens and adults Wednesday, November 20 at the city council chambers.
Ms. Seabaugh spoke about various types of scams and how to spot them and how to protect ourselves and vulnerable family members. She also spoke about various forms of cybercrime and how it can reach into any family.

The Louisiana Attorney General’s Office produces several booklets designed for adults and children detailing ways to keep safe from scams and on-line criminals and predators.
