N.S.U. Middle Lab School is pleased to announce the following students who qualified for the Louisiana Music Educators inaugural Middle School All-State Orchestra. Student across the state went through a rigorous audition process consisting of scale and etudes with the top score being selected to fill the sixty available slots. Nines students were selected from the N.S.U. Middle Lab School Orchestra, and they are:
Jayden Fernandez and Hunter French on 1st Violin. Oghenetano Eleyae, Piper Foshee, and Juhee Han on 2nd Violin. Kynlee Harrell on Viola. Andrew Fontenot on Cello. Carson Lyles and Ethan Johnson on Bass.
The L.M.E.A Middle School Orchestra will perform at the annual music educators conference in New Orleans at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside on Saturday January 18 at 12:30p.m. and is open and free to the public. The Clinician for the Orchestra will be Dr. Robert Gillespie from Ohio State University.
