The Natchitoches Police Department has arrested Desmond Williams (B/M, 18 y.o.a. of Natchitoches) for discharging a firearm within the city limits and obstruction of justice.
Natchitoches Police Department officers responded to the 200 block of Rowena Street on Feb. 16 around 5:52 pm in reference to gunshots in the area. Upon officers arrival they located the complainant who said that he confronted, Desmond Williams, in their backyard when he pulled out a firearm and shot it in the air several times before fleeing the area.
Officers were able to locate Desmond Williams and the firearm he attempted to hide in a wooded area near Highland Park.
Desmond Williams was placed in the LaSalle Corrections/Natchitoches Detention Center.
