Natchitoches Central’s Dillon Braxton signs to Play baseball at Grambling

Natchitoches Central High School senior Dillon Braxton officially signed to continue his baseball career at the collegiate level at Grambling State University, marking a significant milestone in his athletic journey.

A four-year starter for the Chiefs, Braxton has been a cornerstone of the team’s success. His dedication and work ethic have played a pivotal role in shaping the program.

“Dillon has been an integral part of what we’ve built here,” said head baseball coach Regan Kaufman. “He’s worked hard for this opportunity and has been a staple in our offense. We couldn’t be prouder of him.”

Braxton is among five Natchitoches Central players signing to play at the next level this year, a testament to the program’s strength. His commitment further highlights the school’s ability to develop talent both on and off the field.

Braxton, along with four other NCHS teammates, is part of a historic signing class for the program. Only two players from the school had signed in the past eight years, making this year’s group of five signees a remarkable achievement.

Only 3% of high school baseball players nationwide go on to play Division I baseball, and Natchitoches Central is sending five athletes to the next level this year. Braxton’s commitment is a reflection of his hard work, leadership, and the strength of the Chiefs’ baseball program.

With a team GPA above 3.4, Braxton and his teammates have excelled academically while competing at a high level. His success reflects the discipline and leadership that have defined his career at NCHS.

As he takes the next step, Braxton leaves behind a legacy of hard work and dedication, setting an example for future generations of Natchitoches Central baseball players.
