Jr. High JAG Team earns Second Place in Statewide Creative Decision Making Competition

Natchitoches Junior High School’s JAG program proudly celebrates the success of its Creative Decision-Making Team, which earned 2nd place in the state during the 19th Annual Student Development Competitions. The competition was held virtually via Zoom, bringing together talented students from middle school JAG programs across Louisiana.

The team, comprised of Genesis Conday, TaJarrius Bowers, MyCayah Roberson, and Mariah Holliman, demonstrated remarkable teamwork, quick thinking, and creativity. At 10:45 a.m., the scenario was submitted via email, and the members were given just 30 minutes to research, assign roles, practice, and develop an innovative solution to the problem. Rising to the challenge, the students decided to act out their scenario, delivering a performance that captivated the judges.

During their 5-minute presentation, the team brought their scenario to life with an engaging and dramatic performance. One judge praised their creativity, remarking, “I felt like I was watching a soap opera called ‘As Natchitoches Turns.'” The team’s ability to think on their feet and collaborate effectively was evident in their impressive finish.

This outstanding achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of the members. The Natchitoches Junior High School is incredibly proud of these talented individuals and congratulates them on their well-deserved success.
