During National College Decision (signing) Day in May of 2024, Natchitoches Parish residents- Naiim Helaire, Jorryn Harris and Jayla Wilson signed letters of decision/intent to attend Grambling State University as freshman students during the 2024-2025 school year and do well as first-year students. A contract that is shared with local Grambling alumni during an annual ceremony.
On April 7, the three mentioned students were inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society-designated nationally for first-year college students posting a cumulative grade point average of a 3.5 or better during the freshman (fall) year. The Natchitoches students were recognized with a national certificate and lapel pin during the school’s special convocation.
Helaire is a Natchitoches Central High School graduate and business major and Harris and Wilson are Lakeview High School graduates both majoring in nursing.
