The Impact Team consisting of members from the NPSO Criminal Investigations Bureau, Patrol Operations Bureau and Drug Enforcement Unit focuses on gun violence, narcotics violations and property crimes in communities across Natchitoches Parish.
The Impact Team conducted an operation on April 11 that resulted in several traffic citations issued, two vehicles being impounded and four criminal arrests that resulted in seizure of illegal narcotics.
At approximately 8:39pm, Impact Units were patrolling on La. Hwy 1 near the Old Bayou Pierre Road, just south of Powhatan when they stopped a 2010 GMC Yukon for a traffic violation.

Deputies smelled a strong marijuana odor while speaking with Triggs, and also learned that Xzavierre Charles, 29, was wanted by the 10th Judicial District Court for Failure to Appear in Court for Possession of Marijuana.
Both Triggs and Charles were arrested without incident.
A probable cause search of the vehicle led to the discovery and seizure of four cellophane bags containing (959) suspected ecstasy tablets, a cellophone bag containing (6) oxycodone narcotic pills, a bottle containing (84) suspected tramadol narcotic pills, a small bag containing suspected marijuana and a partially burned suspected marijuana blunt.
